I do wonder if the owner harkens back to "Flowers for Algernon" to have that name.
And this does remind me of the great stories of my own cat named, Charlie, that had some serious mental/motor skill deficincies, especially whenever the phone rang. Sent the poor guy into a RAMPAGE!
So what would my Dad do when we'd go on vacation, he'd call me over and say, "Let's call home and let the phone ring!"
When we'd get home, the house looked like Godzilla rode a tornado through the living room after Charlie had 'gone mental' listening to the phone ring for days on end.
Yeah, that was fun, and we laughed.
